Evan Chen and Ziming Guo drew inspiration from a picturesque scene of a hen incubating her eggs on a flat-topped hill, surrounded by a canopy of vines and flowers. The backdrop is a lush green field, a vivid depiction of the natural environment where the chickens live. This design distinguishes the eggs from those of caged chickens and provides consumers with a direct insight into the excellent quality of the eggs.

The uniqueness of the Green Boat Song lies in its representation of a farmer's flock of chickens in Pingdingshan, a beautiful town in Henan province, China. Unlike caged chickens, these chickens bask in the morning sun, drink mountain springs, and eat organic grains, resulting in safe and high-quality eggs. The design emphasizes this natural and organic lifestyle, differentiating it from other egg packaging in the market.

The packaging is realized through spot colour printing on the surface of natural recycled corrugated paper. The words "Certified Organic" are embossed and hot stamped, allowing consumers to feel the undulations on the box's surface, expressing the product's "thickness" and "quality". The packaging, made from recyclable material, aligns with the natural and organic egg products, reducing environmental pressure.

The design faced challenges in its sketchy expression of the chicken and its environment. In 2020, the Chinese market was saturated with poor quality, unattractive packaging. However, the Green Boat Song packaging design has been well-received, proving that it successfully adapts to the Chinese consumer market.
